Moveable Walls

Has anyone tried using movable walls to create flexible spaces? I'm looking to create a large open-plan kitchen / dining / lounge extension for a Californian Bungalow in Melbourne (the existing house will become the bedroom and bathroom wing), and like the idea of walls which can open and close with minimal effort to transform from large open-plan spaces into more intimate spaces such as a cosy TV room, reading spot, or chill-out nook. I've heard about simple bi-fold walls (which hide away in partitions) and one-way glass (which can turn on and off with the switch of a button), although I'm keen to take it further and incorporate some style and character with the flexibility to make it seamless and natural. Anyone have any ideas?
