Feature Wall?

This is our house that we are currently building, our empty nester home! Except it will be built with all the rooms on the left hand side, shed on right and it will be straight out across the front bedroom 2. Plus I have extended the island so it butts up to the wall and finishes at the edge of the pantry. So I was looking at all the lovely Sherwin Williams colors and I love the way all the colors blend in and the way they have a feature wall but I'm not sure which wall to feature the dinning area or the longer wall where the TV is which as you can see wraps around down the hallway. It is a lovely bright area with the two windows and it faces West, we will be building a veranda out the back and the backyard will be all paved. My husband wants to paint it all one color but for the bedrooms I think that's boring!

I didnt know Sherwin Williams paints and had to go look them up. They are nice. Good find! I would make the feature wall the TV wall, as the TV screen will help break up the colour.

A simple trick I learnt : How to find the exact complementary colour. Get the colour in a strong light.,,,sunlight preferable. Isolate it and stare at it intently for a minute or so, Close both eyes and see if you can see a colour..."reflected" on the inside of your eyelids.....THAT is the colour that will be a good complement for the one you want . In this instance, since the colour is mixed...you might "see" several. Looking at this electronic colour...( not the ideal scenario)...but.what I see is a light greeny/ grey, a swatch of the colour would be easier to do this with. Put the swatch on a white background and....stare,,,,so..."light grey" is close but maybe with a touch of green. Hope it is successful.

If you are keeping the rug, take the blue or pink out of it, and use that as paint colour. Only problem is I think the rug may be too small. We like to consider each room as a whole, can you post different views please? Leave out things you're not keeping in there.

brick wall so no option for cavity sliders gas heaters are already in that middle wall as marked, old heaters i think i need to service them as not sure when its serviced last also has two split aircons on both rooms on the far end no weather seals on entry doors, i can feel cold air is coming under some doors, where can i get the seals or is there someone who can come nd check all doors/windows and seal them tin flat room with not much space in between. I think there is insulation in the middle if not its very hard to do anything without opening up the roof sheets. We have double roller blinds on one side. No curtains on patio door(kitchen).

Depends a little bit on the style of your house , but my first reaction is the same as bigreader -- no , and almost certainly no , no , no , no , not 4 rooms in one house . Some of the schists look alright , the 80's style might suit an 80's or even 50's minimalist American house . There are some fairly cool 'wavy' panels that are available these days ; even some feature walls that look like timber ends sticking out of a wall ; wallpaper works in some places ; but one wall of brighter paint is the most obvious 'feature wall' . Faux Stone , or that ship-lap timber , or diagonal timber are about as exciting as yellowy beige or mission brown .
