Renovating our kitchen in a 1930’s california bungalow. We love the timber and the house has a lot of it. It also has high ceilings at 2.8 metres. Will add cabinets above existing ones. Our dilemma is the timber doors which we love the look of but are too costly to replace with new timber doors. They are in ok condition with light scratches, occasional dings and dents, minute staple holes, and wearing. These are some options we are considering. Refurbish the existing doors perhaps with a darker stain and add shaker style polyurethane cupboards in a similar or different colour. Will colour and material difference look weird? Paint existing doors a green, blue or grey colour scheme and add shaker style polyurethane cupboards in the same colour. Will the colour look the same in timber and polyurethane? Throw away the whole lot and get new natural timber veneer doors. How durable is veneer over time in a kitchen area? Throw away the whole lot and get new polyurethane cupboards in a green, blue or grey colour scheme. Will this being consistent with the rest of the house which has lot of timber

Would love some input and open to any other ideas you may have as well. Also any ideas for floor tiles would be much appreciated. Currently have terracotta tiles in fair condition. Thanks
