Need help for kitchen pendant lights - do I match dining pendant???
Comments (10)Never been a fan of matching lighting exactly, but instead suggest coordinating the pendants with your current fixture. You don't have to stick to ball-shaped either and can maybe go with a tubular shape. If you're hubby is stuck on chrome, maybe a chrome tube would work... if you want more glass, we also carry a line of pendant lighting and I'm sure you'll find something to go with it or atleast give you an idea....See MorePendant lights leave me hanging.
Comments (7)@Neryl, you cracked me up when I read your post ha-ha @lakshmi17, All jokes aside, if you want to go to the trouble of having beautiful pendant lights and your ceiling is so high, get a professional!!! Save up if you have to but it's the best way to go in this case, you might be surprised that it's not as expensive as the cost of the lights you intend to have fitted. I paid over $130 for each of the three lights I have bought to have installed over my dining table and I'm darn sure my electrician won't be charging me $400 to install them!!!...See MoreRug and pendant light tips?
Comments (7)Hi Sarah, I would go with a large rug in the lounge- if you can get all four feet of the couch on it as well as the tv cabinet it will create a clear ‘lounge room’ zone. This will be a costly rug due to the size. You can choose a piece of carpet that you like and have it cut and edged to create a customised rug if your own. Adding a large pendant over the dining table will mark this as another separate zone. I am personally not a fan of pendant lights over the island, I just think they add clutter to the space and have been overused - I’m sure many will disagree. You can have another row of down lights over the island if you need task lighting there and add led lighting under your overheads at the back as an accent light that will create a soft wash of light down the splash back. Finally ( even though you didn’t ask!) the white powerpoint to the front of your island stands out agains the black and works against it, swapping this for a black outlet will help make it disappear....See MoreHave you used a fabric pendant light in your kitchen
Comments (1)It’s not something I would do but there are spray on fabric protectors you can buy that would be worth using....See MoreKK1000
