I've looked all over the place at ETUs or Entertainment Units, now that we have the TV and Soundbar of our choice. Looking at the space beneath the TV, I suddenly realised I don't want or need a long trunk sitting along the floor, like all the current ETUs. I want something hanging on the wall, I want to see my floor and the edge of my wall.

In my ongoing drive to de-clutter and "lighten-up" my house, the look of floor not covered in yet another furniture piece was very attractive. I wonder how many other people have thought about this? There don't seem to be any floating ETUs in all the usual shops. Given we no longer have to accommodate heavy devices and hundreds of DVDs, and the TV is already hanging on the wall, it makes sense to have a light-weight, functional, stylish, wall-hung mini ETU.

I looked all around Houzz and finally at Houzz Germany I saw one, albeit more of a credenza than an ETU but you get the idea. Isn't the look refreshing? Where to get something like that locally (ie Melbourne)??? What do you think?
