Comments (9)I would relocate door and entry to be beside bedroom wall and maybe add a wall to define the spaces. The 'new' entry area could be made into a nice area without being too big. It could be 1200 wide and 1560 long, just enough to circulate guests into the house without walking directly into the middle of room. Certainly not a cheap or easy option but it would be the best outcome overall. It will completely change the dynamics of the whole area! I don't think that any furniture layout will be a clear winner as they'll always be a compromise, even though the options as shown above are very very good....See MoreHelp: Improve street appeal with no front door
Comments (9)Have to agree with Oklouise, keep side entry as is but define with new paving within carport leading up to the front door.,Add clear roofing next to house leading to entry, large pots and good directional lighting for night time to draw you to the front door. I would remove the large plant on the left of the carport to open up the entrance. Mark walkway to front door with paving, paint or render the bedroom wall at the end of the carport add a light and large pot of succulents which are easy care and will love the light coming through the new roof Paint and update the exterior of the carport Opening roof by Stratco Outback, or Vergola Pergola to let light in over entrance way...See MoreIs it worth getting new kitchen door fronts?
Comments (12)$3000 for new doors sound like a bargain but if that doesn't include installation i would strongly recommend that you invest in professional installation (at a fixed price) as replacing old hinges can be very challenging for the inexperienced and we've patched a 40 year old kitchen with very thin sheets of melamine placed over damaged shelves, renewed sagging doors by filling up old screw holes and tightened hinges, replaced damaged edges using a roll of iron on edge stripping tape but, the minor damage on your edges and the backless cabinets could easily be disguised with some paint but i have say that our now patched kitchen was designed and built for an architect, various other kitchen we've built or renovated and my newest kitchen also custom made at very high cost have all been made out of a variation of a laminated board ..luckily you love the "very expensive to replace" counters but i would also consider investing in new kickboards to get rid of the quad edges around the floor and a better location for your microwave..and look forward to seeing your results...See More- 8 years ago
