For me, good value furniture looks and feels nice, is strong enough to last and doesn't fall apart when it comes time to move. And it didn't cost more than it was worth.
I'm looking for a matching dining and living room set at the moment of a dining table and chairs, and an entertainment unit in particular.
I like wood, stone or recycled materials but am not a fan of glass. For the chairs I seem to like the retro style chairs with a cushioned fabric seat shell that is part of the chair (i.e. not just a cushion strapped to a chair bottom).
