What do you want in the ensuite? Double vanity? Double shower? Bath? If so, what kind of bath? A separate / private toilet? I think the answers to those questions will direct you to what shape room will best meet your requirements. But, in general, a long, narrow design seems to be the most appropriate, with the shower at one end, sink/s in the middle and toilet at the other end.

i would probably try for at least 90cm but depends on the size and shape of the room, location of doors and windows and size and shape of other fixtures..can you post a plan of the room?

You have an ensuite and an identical bathroom around 3 steps further apart. Can't see any advantage for this. You could lose the ens, relocate the WIR and end up with a bigger bedroom, bigger WIR and save money. Your roof has these eaves all close together over what appears to be some upper level windows, but these walls aren't reflected below. If I've understood this correctly you've added significant build cost for little gain. I think the room sizes are ok but I would suggest a design professional to polish it up.

Hi, I've just bought a small home in Victoria, Australia, and am trying to work out the actual floor space of a bedroom (Bed 1 in photo below). The plan says the room is 3.30m x 2.80m. The room has a built-in wardrobe that spans one end wall. Do the dimensions of 3.30m x 2.80m include the wardrobe ie making the room more like 2.70m x 2.80m? Or is the available floor space 3.30m x 2.80m plus whatever the built-in depth is? I know it can differ in different parts of the world as to what the dimensions include or exclude. This floor plan was likely produced by the real estate agent. Obviously makes a big difference as to what size bed I could fit in there. Thoughts? Thanks :) Jan
