Cookbooks will live forever in my kitchen. I will always clip recipes from mags, papers etc. to put in my organised folder. You have to file anything you print out online & sometimes with the picture & that's if you can print it out. So I say keep those cookbooks they are always so well presented and a pleasure to look through. Mine have little sticky notes everywhere, for recipes I have yet to use. I also collect recipes from the Coles & Woolies books at the checkout. If I like the sound of it I keep it.

Go with your gut Tracy..... it is a big investment but I have found that if it makes you smile every time you walk into your kitchen you'll never regret it!!!! I've recently moved into a smaller downsized home with my 3rd black kitchen, with drawers, no cupboards, except for the pantry which we use as the crockery and wine glasses stash. Mine is matt but no handles = no hip bangers! I chose to use snow white stone bench tops, the walls are painted natural white while the floors are pale oak hybrid vinyl.

Exactly the same tones as mine except i lifted it with a stainless steel col glass splashback and s/steel handles. I can change my accessories to suit the season even . clean and lovely as dark col bench tops look cluttered to me.Infact last week we even replaced the two downlights with 2 smoked glass pendents over the sink ( like yours) and they look great. Glad you are happier with your chosen result.
