Comments (29)I can see you like minimal furniture and clean lines so I will remember this when I comment. You are getting a new bigger tv, which I think would help balance the wall/tv ratio which is great, would you consider a long, low entertainment unit? Regardless that your tv is mounted. Have a look at this website; www.sydneyside.net.au Also, I do like the dark rug (recently bought a dark charcoal one myself) but it looks too small for the space. The next size would have worked better. Sizing is everything with rugs....See MoreIs a TV in the bathroom too much?
Comments (59)I had to settle for a shower for years and years because the place we lived in only had a shower although my showers are deefinitely not a three minute person, more like 15min ha-ha I too decided on a spa bath in our new build, one that is big enough to fit two people but is simply a bath shape and I'm finding it hard to get myself back into baths because of being used to a shower for so long but I don't regret it either. I used to read the paper in the bath back when papers were what was around back then and I do miss that ha-ha...See MoreNeed opinions and advice on fireplace/TV/living room layout
Comments (8)i'd like some feedback on the two windows, as I am currently looking at the same thing without windows. Why r they there given the expanse of glass on other wall. My mum had two narrow vertical windows either side and as they were un curtained they look like black rectangles at night which I found spooky. They didn't let in much light because of trees outside, but I guess if u had a skyline view say they may be useful. They also compromised positioning of artwork....See MoreFloating cabinet mounted wood fireplace, is it possible?
Comments (20)i don't understand all the concern..(obviously won't be cheap or easy and probably needs an engineer to design the frame) but the firebox probably weighs no more than 200kg (less than a bathtub full of water and a bather) and the flue is suspended from the ceiling or a power flue can be directed through the wall or floor ..the challenge will be finding the most suitable brand and model (preferably zero clearance) and keen tradesman to organise the steel frame as the timber shelves are only decorative not structural ...we have a 250kg corten steel courtyard gate that is only suspended from steel hinges and they not only hold the weight above the ground the door also has to move...consult the manufacturers who should be able to give more specific advice...See Moretorreykm
