Comments (20)Classic is just that... classic but I do realize that each has an opinion based on personal preference, you can add to classic by using colour in your appliances which can be changed out when and if that colour becomes dated at a lot less cost than splashbacks, have a good look around on the internet you will see what I mean, that's fine each to our own and all hints here are aimed to help....See MoreKitchen splashback help & ideas pls
Comments (10)HI Lyn Depends on where you live, but here in Auckland, Winstone Glass will give you a glass splashback in ANY Resene colour, which would mean you could get exactly what you want. Personally I have a white kitchen with white speckled granite tops, and all walls white, so I went with a black glass splashback that has an ever so slight sparkle at night, doesn't sparkle in daytime. Looks stunning. You can get cheap pre made splashbacks at Mitre 10, Bunnings etc, but they don't use the glasskote technology, so you can see in behind them, whereas Winstones ones, you can have white and not see the wall at all. Comments (39)Looks lovely and I'm so glad you're happy with it (and love your little styling touches!) We're about to start building so no pics yet but we're supposed to be deciding already - bit soon for me to get my head around it when I can't actually see it. I was happy to go with a glass splashback but as that can look green because of the glass it's become a bit more complicated! I'll make a decision one day... Thanks for posting the photos - enjoy your new kitchen....See MoreHelp me choose a splashback for a black-and-white kitchen
Comments (31)Depending on your taste of course, I would introduce some colour - either as tiles or a glass splashback. Personally I think you will need to fill the entire area otherwise there are simply more lines to take in and will create an unwanted feature. We've had a glass splashback painted back and it was super easy to clean. For one kitchen, we've gone for a bright yellow to give it some pop. You can also have photos too but it's not as easy as the file sizes mean that they need to be taken/supplied by a professional photographer. If tiles is your preference, there are many great patterned tiles out now. Good luck!...See More- 7 years ago
