why not offer to have it custom made here in Australia as we have the skills here to do these things and much more just saying and just offering a service.. as we are not all cheap importers us we are 100% aussie made and owned..

Thanks for all the suggestions. It's taken a bit of time but I have collected a few pieces to make the space look better. I decided on a table lamp and have grouped some photos behind it. I'm really happy with the result. a couple of new cushion covers for some more colour which I love. I also have a clock for the far right wall and a picture for behind the couch. i don't love the picture but it will do until I can find something I really like (and have the funds for). thanks for all the great suggestions.

Not sure if you can make you current table height adjustable and what's involved with making the banquette wide enough for lounging but here are some pictures. Staged...!..hot milk, honey, nutmeg....etc...quiet time..! Lots of wood to burn...grows, and dies, on trees...!! Requires chainsaws, vehicles, trailers, fuel, sharpeners, gloves, sweat, thermos, levels of language....lucky we're isolated!

i would place a rug under the table with a hanging light above. I'd keep the windows clear and place something in the corner like a big urn/pot with bamboo looking type sticks in it or something like it.
