King or Queen for the Master Bedroom?
Comments (25)I personally love a king size in a master but they can look too big in some rooms. This may be the case here too, especially with your chosen bed. However as long as you have enough room to move around it you will be comfortable in that regard. If you were to go king I would suggest looking at a bed with just a bed head or a separate bed head with ensemble as this will not dominate the room room to much and make it feel smaller. Then find side tables that are floating or light in structure with open legs so you can see through to the wall. Good luck...See MoreDark Drapes in Master Bedroom
Comments (13)I love the aqua blue and browns you have for this room. Given your furnishings, they have a mid century modern style which you could capitalize on. (see the bedside table in this image is like yours)You can easily create a base of browns and a cream or patterned rug and then find some bedlinens in the cyan/aqua colourhttps://www.houzz.com/products/organic-ironwork-duvet-cover-prvw-vr~501905 and then find a fabric that matches your duvet cover to cover the chair...It would be nice if you could either spray paint the bed (which I think is black metal) a silver metallic colour to lessen a harsh line. I would also remove the shiny sheer drape you have in front of the curtains. Why are they there? You seem to have venetian blinds as well. Can you hang the mirror up higher or is it part of the dresser? The base should be about 20cm from the top of the dresser to create some height to the room. I would also lower or even remove the painting in the room as it is too high...For the other furniture, I would rather work on some simple basics and then we can adjust them around. I think your bed is in the only place it can be.......See MoreHelp! Master Bedroom ideas
Comments (7)I would change the curtains to pale, at the moment they seem to divide your attention between the bed and the window area. Natural or white linen bedding would be lovely and then a chunky knit throw in a beautiful warm mustard or burnt orange. I would consider changing your bedside table handles to something trendy in a timber to match the blind and also bring in a few small timber accents, a bowl, photo frame etc on the bedside tables. And then go crazy on a mix of cushions. Also look up how to style bed cushions to give you an idea of what you might like....See MoreHelp on converting 2 bedrooms into 1 master bedroom with nice ensuite
Comments (5)my suggestion has an ens and wiw and uses the old bedroom door for a linen cupboard, although the toilet could be placed at either end to be closer to the original sewerage, this arrangement allows for more privacy for the toilet, more standing room near the shower, wall space for a towel rail and room in teh wiw for a chest of drawers..the vanity is over 2m long with cabinet under the (one or twin) sinks and open shelves next to the toilet for towels .. and, while you're adding the new ens, it would be worthwhile to plan the new access to the kitchen and new laundry...See MoreElle
