Wall art? Mirror? What would you put above the bed?
Comments (27)To Ella Kate Thrupp....."a woven piece"...as in a wall rug or a tapestry suggested by yours truly and Tribbletrouble441452k7 Trek? Or maybe you have a more novel idea in mind? Have you come across any "woven" art in your professional travels? I have a friend who actually weaves tapestries on a loom as they did centuries ago thread by thread. They are exquisite and each a unique artwork. She works professionally on commission Very time consuming, meticulous and expensive and she also does it simply for relaxation and sells them. Wonder would there be anything along this line available commercially today? Such a "woven piece" would make an enormous impact in any room, so beautiful and unique in a bedroom especially if a design woven to order...but Yikes $$$$$. Afterthought...a painted MURAL designed to order might be a touch of luxury if you engaged somebody to do it and they presented you with a series of pictures for you to choose from.....that would not fall down! I did one for a friend's guest donga in Charleville QLD...she wanted a fantasy and had a lot of input herself, it was a collaborative effort and she got exactly what she wanted. Can't go wrong with a mural...can always paint over it when you want something different....See MoreArt work recommendation
Comments (55)Hi Lila, If you are looking for bird artworks (not certain that you are?) we have a whole aviary collection you might like to check out - available in a range of sizes to suite your space. We offer these either framed as shown below, or frame-less, more details at the link, but both use the transparency of the perspex medium to create a stunning three dimensional effect that brings them to life. https://www.signarture.com.au/collections/aviary-fine-art-bird-prints-on-perspex We have a whole range of collections from abstracts to treescapes that you might like to browse for inspiration if birds aren't your thing! https://www.signarture.com.au/...See MoreDesigning living room around wall art - help
Comments (7)To me , I'd want to know the style and era of the house , and the look of the other rooms , and even the size of the room . On it's own , with that art , and white walls and timber floor , I'd say do a white leather suite ( or 5 or 6 matching white leather chairs ) and a large screen TV on another wall , and a large coffee table in either white gloss , or black frame and smoke glass top . And then set it off with 3 or 4 green leafy potplants ( all different plants and different heights ) in pots in similar blue and green and mustard hues as the art . Any windows do in light wooden ventians ( white slats would be overkill without seeing the room IMO ) or black as a contrast . Add a mustard or jute rug . BUT that may not suit the rest of the house , or the size or shape of the room ....See MoreWall art work - mirrors
Comments (11)oh that art over lounge is old & need to replace bc sick of looking at it. also can’t change placement of the clock as there is a bracket & dont want to patch & paint the wall. The other wall in dining room will only reflect another wall so not sure but im going to buy them first and play around with them as I’m a visual person. also what colour would you recommend I go? ideally I would love to change my curtainS but can’t afford to do so. & my rug but I have an old fur baby who at times has accidents so going to wait on that for now. Was thinking of painting my antique tv unit & table white; what do you think?? Btw... chairs are brown not black....See MoreWeaver Interiors
