Do you have photos of the house from other perspectives so that we could see your fascias, gutter, porch, gate and roof? The 80s window frames certainly don't work with the render colour, were you intending to replace them too as part of your updating? The profile of the garage doors date the house and changing the colour would be an interim step to achieving that contemporary look. We are also planning an update of our confused 80s project home currently with clinker bricks, colonial windows and victorian panelled doors. I am resisting rendering the bricks as I know once we start everything will have to replaced. I am less concerned about bricks but quality windows are a high priority for us. Good luck with your project.

Woodland grey is a great colour, both contemporary but earthy, as it is quite colored, you will see a brown and green undertone. I would use it for all your trims, not introducing two colurs in addition to your render. I will say I like the illusion of cedar on your window frames, and think the natural timber colour on your large fascia boards and window look a little Balinese. Ad very contemporary already. Yu could replace the garage doors wi timber look paneled ones to tie into in, and then continue this element into some clever lands aping leading to your doorway. As for your render, fear not, the lime in the render will discolor with age, it will take on a green tone eventually, and less grey. The lime will wash away in time changing the new grey to something resembling pavement.

Great advice above from MB. Vivid white is extremely bright outside, I can't suggest enough to use a tinted white. You will need sunglasses otherwise! Surfmist works pretty well with most colours but can throw a slight green. Dulux Natural White will be good, but very bright. If you can choose something other than Colorbond colours here's a few. Just make sure the paint dept confirms the tint is for exterior use (can be a problem for exterior paint tint, even if it's an exterior paint). Dulux colours: Todd River - newer one, I haven't seen it large scale. Doesn't throw green. Simone Weil - throws a slight blue, but quite a neutral grey. Tristan - brown based grey It would look amazing if you could clad the LHS grey section (with the two windows in it) in a horizontal timber cladding to match your door. Probably not an option though!

Hi, just from trialing paint inside and being sensitive to undertones. It was a few years ago though but I remember Diesku looked very mauve. I recently painted a few rooms in my grandpas house Hogs bristle and it definitely has a slight pink under tone, similar to Antique White. I would suggest getting a Dulux colour expert out to make a suggestion. We have done it & it's worth the money. They will be able to make colour suggestions where the undertone will compliment the woodland grey not clash.
