We are unsure whether to build a walkpath from the footpath to our front door. We have driveway access to the frontdoor do it be useless, however does it add a whole lot more curb appeal? Is it a complete waste of money?
I think the driveway to door paths can have limited functionality depending on how you use your driveway. But it’s up to you for how you live. Good landscaping will add appeal with or without a direct path.
It is difficult to say for sure without knowing more about the property in question. Sometimes a path looks like it 'belongs' because of the style of house or the style of landscaping. Sometimes a path is a solution for an entrance which is not clearly visible or multiple doorways with no other indication of which is the main door or a driveway too steep to walk comfortably. If you don't have any style or practical requirements for a path to the footpath you likely don't need one.
