Can the budget stretch to having the bench material as a splashback?

It would be too thick. Unfortunately the cooktop bench can’t be increased in depth. Is the tile too much?

Look at brushed gold handles.

With the dark floor tiles and the beautiful sage/green cupboards, I would go with a lighter undulating tile to give texture not the flat darker sage tile.

Or this darker green shade tile, but again an undulating tile with texture.

I'm hoping the floor is the darker tile on left- love dreamers images, if you go the dark green splashback keep it to feature wall. Gold or brass handles

Unfortunately the darker tile on the left was just one I was resting on at the tile shop. Our floor tile is the creamier pink one. We simply cannot pull them all up as they through the whole living area. I think I’m hoping the darker green tile will pull the eye up. It will be just a 2 metre feature directly behind the cooktop.
I agree the gold handles look great.

In that case can you change the benchtop to a warmer colour

So the gleeze Grigi porcelain is a wall tile, not a floor tile. I do not like that at all for a wall tile.

Neither of the two tiles you’ve selected look that cohesive with your other choices. It may be the screen but the colour and texture looks off. I’m always surprised that people don’t pick all their selections at the start of the project. Do an image search of green kitchens here on Houzz and on Pinterest and you’ll see a lot of options to inspire you.

I hear you. I often have to pull back from my bolder choices. My dad was a cabinet maker and I was always allowed to change my mind half way thru projects. I can’t navigate to my pictures atm to write on them. Will try on a desktop tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

I agree with big reader the green cabinets are the hero of your kitchen and a white tile splashback will let them shine. Using epoxy grout will reduce discolouration and make the splash back easier to keep clean. I would go with bronze handles they will look beautiful against the green.

The designer is going for the safer design because only one in a million as going to fully embrace your aesthetic. That being said the safer option is usually spot on. Also go with brushed gold handles it suits the style and colour of your cabinets
