4 years agoI just googled this information which is readily available from various Australian web sites. 2.4m ceilings, fan must be floor to blade 2.1m and 300mm fan to ceiling.
There are lots of fans from various retail shops that are timber and tropical looking.

Comments (5)Whisper white is so very barely warm, I think it would achieve what you are after as it is often used in cool colour schemes. You can view the full range of Dulux whites on the attached link. If you click on a colour it will give you the break down of red, green, blue content for each colour. Comments (3)Hi Sachin Using a dark floor is no problem when the rest of the colour scheme works. I would suggest you provide a bit more detail or pics showing what you have in mind for eg style of cabinetry if applicable, what type of flooring you are considering, furniture colours, style of decor (eg contemporary, hamptons, classical) etc Build a picture of what you have in mind and the people here can give you lots of tips..... Comments (4)the "apex" is the highest part of the roof not the lowest ...is this a renovation for an existing house or plans for a whole new home? if they want the apex to be lower changing the angle of the roof/ceiling can lower the apex without lowering the low end so much and 3.6m is very high and 2.1m is very low so we need to see the plans and know Councils' specific reasons to better understand the problem...See More- 4 years ago
4 years agoWe installed these a couple of days ago. (7 of them throughout) our ceilings are also 2.4 and I was very concerned about how they would look. We chose these for the slim profile. It has turned out well but we will turn them off for taller visitors!

Well we have only just bought this house (QLD) and the 2.4 ceilings were very hard for me to accept but you can’t get everything on your wish list…the ceilings have already felt too close!
The fans have not in my opinion made a big impact of feeling dangerously low (I’m only 5’3) but I think a bulkier fan would be more obtrusive. As fans go they are reasonably discreet.
We have some tall friends that might find it alarming 😂

We have the same - low ceilings but I console myself that the house is easier to keep warm in winter! Photo 1 is our bedroom fan, which I don't like - it feels intrusive in the room. Photo 2 is our fancy "low ceiling" fan, which we love. It doesn't announce its presence like the other one and is super quiet and efficient. Photo 3 is the remote for the loungeroom fan if you are interested in details. I highly recommend it - it was expensive at $400+ but worth it
