Hi Italian girl, with your natural white walls what colour did you end up doing your ceiling and skirting? Also is the natural white throwing any yellow at all. I also have an open plan downstairs with a grey concrete floor tile. We are using malay grey on our fireplace and am struggling with choosing the right white for the walls. Was thinking of going with Snowy Mountains but might try natural white after seeing yours.

White on white has a blue grey undertone. It is a cool white. It will make rooms will less light feel cool and rooms bathed in natural light feel cooler. If you don't want a bluey white try Natural White, Snowy Mountain Half or Lexicon half.

Okay so I disagree with the advice to go white. I'd go for a soft green that recedes and makes the framed view dominate. White tends to stand out and pull towards you iykwim? I think sages and soft greens do work well as a neutral with a hint of colour. any pastels like pink and blue that also have grey undertones are calming. Soft blues echo the sky an the soft greens the trees. I have found a great melbourne company recently called tint. tintpaint.com.au. They give great personalised customer service and someone can talk you through your purchase. They will give free colour consults and they send all orders by mail. They send samples as large size wall stickers. Their range has some similar colours to dulux, and are quite on-trend in my opinion, but I find it easier to choose with a smaller range. If you are unsure of colour, choose something you like but use it half-strength, or even quarter strength. With the cork echoing the earth. colours that talk of trees and skies would really be nice. You could even do a full strength feature wall with half or quarter strength on the other walls to tone it down. This is a picture of the samples I ordered and the full colour range.

I am looking to paint my bedroom a softer warmer colour than the rest of my house. i am choosing between Grand piano Half and Beige Royal Half. The rest of my spaces I am painting in Snowy Mountains half. I will still use Snowy Mountains half on my architraves and ceiling in my bedroom but want to paint my walls one of the two colours suggested. i have painted the colours on my walls. The two colours look very similar on my walls. The grand piano half looks a bit fresher and seems to have a pink undertone and the beige royal doesnt have any pink but seems more like a warm brown/grey. Does anyone have any experience with these colours on their walls and does the beige royal look flat and dull on the wall and the grand piano more fresh? i guess i am trying to work out how do you decide which will work better if you are looking to have a grey/beige bedhead and alternate the bedding on the bed that ranges in colour from light blue/grey/grey pink and deep browny/red? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
