Tree identification

Hi All
Can anyone help me identify these 2 trees, they are both in a national park in Perth but have been told they are not natives, both are evergreen if that helps.

You can try and identify them using your phone, the iPhone has an identification mode, take a photo and you will see a look up plant option, press on the info. logo and it will give a description, or a plant identification app. Or take your photo to your local nursery.

Hi, I’ve tried that with 2 different apps and they are both saying different trees even email my local landcare and they are not sure.

We have similar and they spread. We didn't plant them but I think birds have picked up seeds from else where and dropped at our place. We back onto a National Park so are getting rid of them, but you have to dig and get the roots out as well as they regrow quite easily... Ours get a bright red/orange flower head on them which look ok but not great in a native area..... Pull them out, roots and all and bin them.

Hi A J R Could be from the osmanthus family, the perfume is fabulous, incredibly heady, as you said the bees adore it, there is a tree at the Geellong botanic gardens that the perfume bowls you over, flowers are usually white or yellow, maybe take a piece to your local nursery for identification

Hi, it could be an osthmanthus they have a highly perfumed flower, but on saying that they sometimes don’t flower until the tree is quite old, a native frangipani is evergreen with similar leaves to your trees, these can self seed, your best bet would be to take your samples to your local nursery for identification

Not sure what it is but I had a few at an old place. They got above the height of the pergola by a bit, but a pretty easy to prune and seem to handle abuse. Watch out for the sap it will cause skin issues. The leaves become a massive pain eventually as they drop all year!

Close-up of leaf can help. The number of lobes should narrow down possibilities.

Any info on flowering/fruiting or any other distinctive details?

What sort of park is it and who has responsibility for it? Sometimes local authorities have info on their plantings.

The bottom tree has oak type leaves, but you say they are evergreen trees, where the oak is deciduous, I would try your botanic gardens, You will definitely get an answer there, did you try the ‘Look up plant’ on your iPhone.

The oak has similar characteristics to your tree, I think you will get it identified if you take your photos to your botanic gardens.
