Sofa set and Dining set combination?
Comments (9)The covering of the sofa is less important than the style - go for one that is long enough to lie down on, not too puffy and not a corner suite. The key thing with your dining furniture is to have the same colour legs on your sofa - there is often choice of stain or most places can arrange this for you sometimes oiling it yourself is an option. I have found sourcing nice dining furniture can be more challenging than couches so I would do that first- remember you don't have to match the table with chairs you can mix and match which is usually more interesting. A relatively neutral couch is a good idea but think about durability - personally i am not a fan of black couches unless they are light in frame- they can really dominate your room. If you want lighter style of furniture try places that do retro - mid century as they seem to be smaller and lighter in appearance. Bring in some texture and colour with cushions a clock, a throw rug and art work - but don't rush - take your time finding the right thing. all the best...See MoreCounter stool suggestions

Comments (5)I don't know if you'll get a decent center island, but have you considered a galley kitchen? they're very functional, and more affordable than a center island that incorporate appliances/sink etc. You could have the counter extended into the 'family room' just like this picture. Of course because of the kitchen entry way, the other side of the 'galley' will be split either side of this doorway (ie where the red oven is in this pic, there would be a doorway instead)....See Morekitchen island/counter height dining table?
Comments (7)So you just want a bench ht table or bar table. I like a back on a chair, but kids don’t mind simple stools, which can be tucked under front of table out of way. Look for a design allowing this and stools with a foot rest bar to help kids climb down. One my kids got out of a high chair they quickly learnt how to climb safely off my kitchen stools, need help for a while getting up and down, but they helped keep them I’m place once up. :)...See More- 3 years ago
