ensimpson, Please do not render that brick. It is quite a nice brick and render can look very cheap and often done poorly cracks and looks even worse. If you don't like the dutch cables, you can go about removing them. These are not primary roof structure typically, but there will be a little work in making good the roof where they were. Alternatively, give these gables a function, place a fixed louvre, like you have shown in the attached image and allow the roof to vent through them. This will also impact the comfort of the home as there will be less heat buildup in the roof cavity. I agree with the comment above, the driveway is very prominent. This is partly the perspective of this image, but you could consider options for the driveway paving. I do not think painting grey is a good one. Repaving with a natural grey material could be as there would be more life and texture to it, but it is an expensive one.

@LesleyH I need to clad a small portion of the front of my house that is covered. Is Nuline a cost effective for a small portion given it's not exposed to sun and rain, is there something else that I could get away with? I thought of getting actual timber because maybe maintenance won't be such an issue. But I don't know how that compares cost-wise. Basically want the look of your's and original poster's photos. The windows on right will stay the same size, just fitted with more traditional style windows. And the windows on the left will be replaced with french doors. So there's not a lot to clad. Wonder if, having been through the decision process and actual install, you have any pointers?

You would have to ask SCA. I believe the gable roofs are for council (streets-cape). The cladding being corrugated, cost (pre-finished) and proximity to the coast (durability).

Do all the trims the same cream as garage door, and the feature around your windows. You have a red roof, you can't get away from that, and it looks fine. Just get rid of the green.
