Is the kitchen in an extension? Do you mean add an addition/extension so you end up with more space to include an ensuite main bedroom? You’ll need to give us more info.
Hi bigreader, yes kitchen is an extension. I want to extend more space for the ensuite main bedroom (including bathroom) and extend current bathroom. And somehow still having total 3 bedrooms if we can
Don’t really understand your explanation of what you want, but here is what I think you mean. If you want three bedrooms in total and one is to be a master bedroom with an ensuite, then extend to the left hand side to boundary. (How much distance is from house to boundary?). Adding an ensuite. If you want a bigger main bathroom, then delete the linen and square off the room…….
Thanks Dreamer, for your time. Build is double bricks, kitchen is extension (not brick). We do not have much funds. Looking around $200k max to renovate this house. Is it possible?
If you have $200k then you should have enough money. You need to get the condition of the existing electrical, plumbing flooring etc etc checked out. It depends on how much you have to fix before you add an extra bathroom or enlarge rooms. We do not know the condition of your home.
with careful planning you should be able to make some changes without any extension and my suggestions include a new bathroom, upgrade and convert original bathroom to an ensuite, add a laundry and pantry to a new kitchen and biw to all bedrooms...if you're lucky enough to have any money left you could consider a window to the new bathroom instead of a cheaper ventilating skylight and sliding glass doors to a bigger deck would connect indoors to the backyard but we would need more information to make suggestion for outdoors
Hi Louise, wow, thanks so much for your suggestion. I actually really like this ideas. Will definitely consider this plan if we can manage to get plumbing for another bathroom.
