Charlie O'Beirne An ammonia stained storage shelf with a rustic iron pole attached for convenient utensil hanging. A minimal wall air vent here flows directly outside to ventilate the kitchen, designed to avoid a larger extractor dominating the compact space. A Burgundy modern Everhot electric range cooker provides a colour boost as well as controllable kitchen heat and cooking throughout the year. The Island with tongue and groove panels is painted in Paper & Paints Pure Grey. The rest of the cabinetry is painted in Paper and Paint Egyptian Grey.

Small eclectic galley separate kitchen in Hampshire with a drop-in sink, flat-panel cabinets, white cabinets, wood benchtops, white splashback, subway tile splashback, coloured appliances, painted wood floors and no island.

As part of a renovation of their 1930's town house, the homeowners commissioned Burlanes to design, create and install a country style galley kitchen, for contemporary living.

This bespoke professional cook's kitchen features a custom copper and stainless steel La Cornue range cooker and extraction canopy, built to match the client's copper pans. Italian Black Basalt stone shelving lines the walls resting on Acero stone brackets, a detail repeated on bench seats in front of the windows between glazed crockery cabinets. The table was made in solid English oak with turned legs. The project’s special details include inset LED strip lighting rebated into the underside of the stone shelves, wired invisibly through the stone brackets. Primary materials: Hand painted Sapele; Italian Black Basalt; Acero limestone; English oak; Lefroy Brooks white brick tiles; antique brass, nickel and pewter ironmongery.

This Regency waterfront apartment is a dramatic foil for this project. The kitchen space is centrally located in the core of the building with a small window looking out onto a lightwell. Organising the workflow with the client during the design process really answered any questions - the clients less is more approach produced an interesting kitchen. The vintage oak doors were recycled from the previous kitchen to lend some balance to the modern handleless furniture. Zen’s minimalism is often misconstrued in Singapore as “lesser works involved”. In fact, the key to Zen is to ensure sufficient and strategically placed storage space for owners, while maximising the feel of spaciousness. This ensures that the entire space will not be clouded by clutter. For this project, nOtch kept the key Zen elements of balance, harmony and relaxation, while incorporating fengshui elements, in a modern finishing. A key fengshui element is the flowing stream ceiling design, which directs all auspicious Qi from the main entrance into the heart of the home, and gathering them in the ponds. Design ideas for a mid-sized country u-shaped separate kitchen in Other with a farmhouse sink, shaker cabinets, beige cabinets, white splashback, coloured appliances, dark hardwood floors and no island.

Situated in a rural area of Stansted, Essex, our latest handmade in-frame kitchen balances classic elegance and modern functionality. Inspired by another one of our projects and showroom design, the choice of a refined square bead inset sets it apart from the rest. It adds depth and structure to the overall aesthetic of the classic shaker-inspired doors. It’s a style that will ensure this kitchen remains effortlessly stylish for years to come. We thoughtfully designed the new kitchen into the existing space, which led to a galley-style layout and the range cooker and sink area remaining in their original positions. Each run flows right up to the walls and improves storage and usability, including a concealed recycling bin and dishwasher. The design focuses on concealed storage but an open wine rack in the corner brings extra appeal. The type of aesthetics our client intended were neutral hues that aged brass accessories would surround. We hand-painted the cabinets in Little Greene Clay (39) – a soft earthy tone with rich ochre undertones, enhancing the kitchen’s warm and inviting feel. Our attention leads to the striking green range cooker, framed by a bespoke, handcrafted mantle and complemented by a Westin Prime 900 extraction fan, a discreet and powerful appliance. This is the epitome of style and practicality. The client’s existing green range cooker sits beautifully within our bespoke in-frame cabinetry and seamlessly integrates into the new design while maintaining its timeless charm. Why update the cooker if there’s no need to?! Carefully designing the furniture around the range, precise proportions and elegant detailing were all in the thought process to enhance the classic aesthetic. Opposite the range cooker and at the heart of this beautiful design is a Villeroy & Boch under-mounted sink, seamlessly integrated with a Perrin & Rowe Langbourn sink mixed in aged brass. The combination adds a touch of heritage luxury, perfectly complementing the Armac Martin Carlton knobs and handles in aged brass. Amongst the bespoke cabinetry, you will find an array of tailored storage solutions, elevating the functionality of the space. They include bespoke cutlery trays and utensil inserts to ensure every solid oak dovetail drawer is as beautifully organised as it is practical. The choice of soft-close concealed hinges adds to the seamless and luxurious experience. It’s a handmade kitchen filled with effortless usability. To add extra depth to the luxurious features found within this kitchen are the Aurelius Oro quartz worktops. It serves as both a stunning focal point as a splashback behind the range cooking and a practical choice for the whole kitchen for easy maintenance. Un petit après-avant des pièces de vie du projet LL : Une maison de l’après-guerre très sombre avec des tas de rajouts et de surélévations, du carrelage et des peintures atroces, une cheminée excessivement rustique, de toutes petites pièces d’office, des fenêtres minuscules, la plupart à barreaux… Les travaux ont ici consisté à créer une grande cuisine ouverte à la place du débarras et de la cuisinette existants, ouvrir de grandes baies vitrées accordéon dans le salon et la cuisine qui permettent de vivre dedans dehors en été, recouvrir le carrelage de béton ciré et concevoir une cuisine et une bibliothèque (@alexandrereignier ) en bois clair et naturel. Pour éclairer encore davantage : des teintes bleu lin et rose ancien de chez @liberon_officiel et beaucoup, beaucoup de lumières indirectes (Je suis une dingue de lampes ? !). Pour des chambres cosy : du bois clair, des matériaux naturels et des murs foncés (ici off black de @farrowandballfr).
