Rénovation complète pour ce studio en plein centre de la ville de Nantes dans des tons naturels, doux et lumineux. Les poutres d’origine ont été conservées en l’état, l’histoire du lieu reste présente tout en bénéficiant du confort d’un nid refait à neuf.

When the collaboration between client, builder and cabinet maker comes together perfectly the end result is one we are all very proud of. The clients had many ideas which evolved as the project was taking shape and as the budget changed. Through hours of planning and preparation the end result was to achieve the level of design and finishes that the client, builder and cabinet expect without making sacrifices or going over budget. Soft Matt finishes, solid timber, stone, brass tones, porcelain, feature bathroom fixtures and high end appliances all come together to create a warm, homely and sophisticated finish. The idea was to create spaces that you can relax in, work from, entertain in and most importantly raise your young family in. This project was fantastic to work on and the result shows that why would you ever want to leave home?

Our client was undertaking a major renovation and extension of their large Edwardian home and wanted to create a Hamptons style kitchen, with a specific emphasis on catering for their large family and the need to be able to provide a large entertaining area for both family gatherings and as a senior executive of a major company the need to entertain guests at home. It was a real delight to have such an expansive space to work with to design this kitchen and walk-in-pantry and clients who trusted us implicitly to bring their vision to life. The design features a face-frame construction with shaker style doors made in solid English Oak and then finished in two-pack satin paint. The open grain of the oak timber, which lifts through the paint, adds a textural and visual element to the doors and panels. The kitchen is topped beautifully with natural 'Super White' granite, 4 slabs of which were required for the massive 5.7m long and 1.3m wide island bench to achieve the best grain match possible throughout the whole length of the island. The integrated Sub Zero fridge and 1500mm wide Wolf stove sit perfectly within the Hamptons style and offer a true chef's experience in the home. A pot filler over the stove offers practicality and convenience and adds to the Hamptons style along with the beautiful fireclay sink and bridge tapware. A clever wet bar was incorporated into the far end of the kitchen leading out to the pool with a built in fridge drawer and a coffee station. The walk-in pantry, which extends almost the entire length behind the kitchen, adds a secondary preparation space and unparalleled storage space for all of the kitchen gadgets, cookware and serving ware a keen home cook and avid entertainer requires. In questo progetto d’interni situato a pochi metri dal mare abbiamo deciso di utilizzare uno stile mediterraneo contemporaneo attraverso la scelta di finiture artigianali come i pavimenti in terracotta o le piastrelle fatte a mano. L’uso di materiali naturali e prodotti artigianali si ripetono anche sul arredo scelto per questa casa come i mobili in legno, le decorazioni con oggetti tradizionali, le opere d’arte e le luminarie in ceramica, fatte ‘adhoc’ per questo progetto.

Located on the dramatic North Cornwall coast and within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the clients for this remarkable contemporary family home shared our genuine passion for sustainability, the environment and ecology. One of the first Hempcrete block buildings in Cornwall, the dwelling’s unique approach to sustainability employs the latest technologies and philosophies whilst utilising traditional building methods and techniques. Wherever practicable the building has been designed to be ‘cement-free’ and environmentally considerate, with the overriding ambition to have the capacity to be ‘off-grid’. Wood-fibre boarding was used for the internal walls along with eco-cork insulation and render boards. Lime render and plaster throughout complete the finish. Externally, there are concrete-free substrates to all external landscaping and a natural pool surrounded by planting of native species aids the diverse ecology and environment throughout the site. A ground Source Heat Pump provides hot water and central heating in conjunction with a PV array with associated battery storage. Photographs: Stephen Brownhill

Ce projet nous a été confié par une famille qui a décidé d'investir dans une maison spacieuse à Maison Lafitte. L'objectif était de rénover cette maison de 160 m² en lui redonnant des couleurs et un certain cachet. Nous avons commencé par les pièces principales. Nos clients ont apprécié l'exécution qui s'est faite en respectant les délais et le budget.
