This image captures the seamless transition between the kitchen and dining area of the New England & Cape Cod–inspired home by Studio212 Ltd and the outdoor living terrace. A wide sliding glass door extends the interior directly onto the stone-paved patio, connecting the kitchen island and dining table with the garden beyond, designed by Victoria Truman Garden Design. To the left, a covered BBQ and lounge area beneath a louvred pergola provides shade and comfort, creating a natural extension of the home for entertaining and relaxation. The interior is refined with integrated cabinetry, a generous kitchen island with breakfast bar seating, and a dining area positioned to enjoy uninterrupted garden views. Together, the design blends daily practicality with a lifestyle of openness and connection to the outdoors.

Ogni ambiente, grazie a una sapiente e calibrata scelta dei colori, risulta avvolgente, caldo e accogliente, tessendo un dialogo tra l'eleganza sobria dello stile scandinavo e la personalità vibrante del modernariato, riportando però, grazie alle nuance terrose e i marroni bruciati, immediatamente l'anima all'essenza della Toscana classica.

Exhibiting characteristics of a modern design, this kitchen is stylish. In general modern designs are adept to minimalism and the general idea is that less is more. It also embraces the extreme accuracy and simplicity. The bright and white background enhances its geometric shapes with clean and sleek lines and surfaces. From the black appliances, to monochromatic furnishings, light and simple tiles to large windows welcoming daylight. Even the decorations are as minimal as possible. Ultra-modern appliances are the usual go to in minimalist designs, however, the customer chose a gas cook-top. But the rest of the appliances are all modern and built in. For instance, the almost invisible ceiling extractor. The cabinets’ fronts are in gloss finish, which reflects the geometric and sleek lines. The option of handle-less minimises the visual information. The cabinetry is also taken to the ceiling for a cleaner environment. The modern worktop with marble veins matches the floor and creates a clean design. The choice of quartz counter-top is durable, easy maintain and is stunning. The almost monochromatic design, creates a clean and uncluttered kitchen. The dark grey, brings presence to the kitchen and is a timeless colour choice, while the high gloss colour increases its impact. In this case, the kitchen is in a large open space and the dark grey makes it dominate the space. For modern designs, the goal is functionality above aesthetics, so usually lighting and decorations are kept to a minimum and as sleek as possible. The customer, in this case, opted for ceiling lights and no drop downs.

Nobilia recently released their 1200mm wide draw units, a new design feature our designers were exceptionally pleased to see available. This island is simply magnificent with THREE 1200mm draw units in a row - offering maximum storage - each draw holding in excess of 80kg's! This kitchen recently took top spot in the NZ German kitchen awards for best renovation! Every aspect of the room was overhauled, and the finished product is stunning (see "before:124097" picture).. Key features: The island offers a huge amount of storage, with impressive 1200mm wide draws on the rear of the island, and draws on the inside. The large stone and large single bowl allows the island to entertain for large groups, and creates a functional and practical work space. The over head cupboards are bi folding, and a full height pull out pantry provide even more storage. A custome made 1200mm wide Ilve oven further enhances the unique deign of the kitchen, and represents the clients true love for cooking an entertaining! The kitchen has been designed with a the Nobilia seamless handles, and provides a very linear and minimalist visual, which complement the stunning timber ceiling and tiles floor.

The interior features bespoke cabinetry in soft grey, a large kitchen island with waterfall worktop and breakfast bar seating, and a full-height wall of concealed storage. A run of pendant lights above the island provides task illumination with sculptural elegance. The adjacent dining area sits beside the garden, with a stone-topped table and upholstered chairs that echo the island stools. Fresh flowers and natural light reinforce the connection to the outdoors, blending everyday practicality with a refined entertaining space.
