Inner city kitchen for a designer and photographer in Sheffield. Ma-kon designed and remodelled the whole interior with a refined oak and stainless steel kitchen to create a calm space as a retreat from the client's busy professional work lives. The kitchen is contemporary in its design and material palette with oak kitchen cabinetry and stainless steel worktops with polished concrete screed floor and integrated ambient uplight detail.

The design philosophy prioritizes harmony with the surroundings, as the house discreetly sits behind a garden wall, rendering it almost invisible from the street. This thoughtful placement not only enhances privacy but also allows the residence to blend seamlessly into its urban context. En éste proyecto se pretendía aportar luz y sensación de amplitud a una cocina que resultaba oscura y pequeña. De ésta manera optamos por el uso de mobiliario en blanco brillo y madera. De ésta manera aportamos luminosidad a la cocina sin perder la calidez que necesita un espacio tan importante de la vivienda. En éste caso además, para ahorrar en costes, se mantuvieron los armazones de los armarios, ya que eran de buena calidad y se encontraban en buen estado. Con lo que se colocaron nuevos frentes de cocina en madera en los muebles bajos y frontales con tirador oculto en estratificado blanco brillo en los muebles altos aportando luminosidad y ligereza.

Proyecto de reforma integral de una cocina en el cual partimos de una idea básica: aprovechar racionalmente todo el espacio disponible de la estancia. En este proyecto, donde instalamos una cocina Santos blanco perla seda, quisimos aprovechar adecuadamente un espacio que anteriormente no lo estaba. Y el resultado, como siempre, habla por sí mismo. A decir verdad, hemos logrado una cocina bien distribuida, fabricada con materiales y mobiliario de primera calidad y con los electrodomésticos integrados. A pesar del poco espacio disponible, hemos trabajado con un diseño y un material que aportase la mayor amplitud posible. En este sentido, hemos utilizado mobiliario de cocina Santos y sus respectivos accesorios, así como módulos columnas de 204 cm de alto para disponer de mucho espacio donde guardar y organizar los utensilios. Además, y con el objetivo de resaltar la cocina en el poco espacio disponible, utilizamos electrodomésticos Neff: su acabado se integra a la perfección en esta cocina Santos blanco perla seda. www.cuinesprisma.com
