Donna is, beyond words, the most incredibly talented and downright gifted interior designer around. We purchased a dark, dingy, sad and neglected beach house that we knew had potential. When it came to starting our renovation, we initially thought using an interior designer was extravagant and thought we could do it all ourselves. Easy peasy, right? After some thought though, we decided we didn't want to risk making similar mistakes we'd made with previous properties, both in terms of cost and a hotch-potch, uncohesive result. So I started googling and came across Donna Guyler Design, and was instantly drawn to Donna's style. The minute we met Donna we knew we'd found the right person to help us achieve what we were after. Straight away we felt at ease, and all our reservations were gone. Little did we know at that point that Donna would completely blow our expectations right out of the water! Donna gets it. She got us, she listened (I mean really listened), and she showed us, time and time again, that she has the uncanny ability to interpret her clients' needs and desires when the clients aren't even sure themselves! (Cue us). Donna will take all your ideas and desires on board and interpret them in such a way that not only delivers everything you want but so, so much more. The result is Perfection. Cohesion. Beauty. Originality. Functionality. Personality. The result is a home that you adore every inch of. Or a particular room re-imagined beyond anything you'd thought of. Is it expensive or over-indulgent to use an interior designer? I'm raising this point because initially we thought it probably was over-indulgent, and thought (wrongly) that it would be expensive.But I'm here to tell you, it's absolutely not!!! The value Donna and her amazing team have given us is honestly beyond measure, both in terms of the finished result (sans costly mistakes) and the value Donna has added to our property. Donna is acutely mindful of your budget and will work within that, so there's no sudden surprises. Now that our renovation is complete we can honestly say we miss the process. Ok, maybe not the inevitable dust and disruption that comes with any major reno but we miss Donna's infectious, fun personality, her incredible ideas, her honesty, her integrity and thoroughness, her ability to co-ordinate every little detail including trades, and the way Donna takes the stress and pressure completely out of the process. I seriously think we need to find another project to keep Donna in our lives! Donna is without a doubt a consummate professional with extraordinary talent. On top of this she is also an absolutely beautiful person. I started working with Donna as I didn't have much time to go through the intricacies and detail needed when planning and executing a renovation. I chose to engage Donna based on her portfolio, which matched my style and the feel that I wanted in my own house. Following a quick on-site meeting and discussion, Donna then provided me with a general mood board which evolved into conceptual renderings and then furniture/fitting selections. At each stage, Donna was extremely receptive to my feedback and the styling suited my desired look and feel perfectly. Donna then managed the communication with builders and the project went off without a hitch. I'm exceptionally proud of my house now and am regularly complimented on how it looks. We have recently completed a comprehensive renovation on our home in which Donna totally redesigned the Kitchen and Ensuite and also assisted us with selecting Tiles, Fabrics and Colour Schemes. We are extremely happy with the result, especially the Mirror Splashback which transformed our Kitchen enormously. We had the privilege of working alongside Donna throughout our recent renovation project. As first time renovators, we didn’t know where to begin, and quickly became overwhelmed with the volume and complexity of decisions that were ahead of us. A referral led us to contacting Donna who straightaway eased our stress and made the entire project a fun and exciting joint venture! Not having worked with an Interior Designer previously, we soon discovered the value add that she brought to the table. Donna has assisted me with a number of projects now - small and big. She provided invaluable input on a kitchen and bathroom renovation of an investment unit, including designing and drawing a one off vanity (which was very affordable and practical). I cannot speak highly enough about Donna. She is a true visionary and genuinely cares about her clients. I am extremely fortunate to have come across Donna in the process of our renovation - which started out as a couch replacement and ended up being an entire renovation with all finishes from (& including) the front door in being replaced in our 3 bedroom 2 bathroom unit. The 1st interior designer we were recommended was not our cup of tea. Donna, on the other hand, seemed to read my mind and then challenged me. Her 3D drawings helped me visual the end result and were appreciated by the tradesmen. Her designs, colours and ideas have worked exceedingly well. Everyone is amazed with our place and we love living in it - it's fun & relaxed yet stylish which neither my husband or I would have been able to achieve on our own. Something that was reassuring is Donna's flexibility to work in your ideas. However she will let you know when your idea is taking you outside what you are trying to create and thus keep you on track. In regards to the trades she has selected, they are in line with her excellent attention to detail to ensure you receive a quality finish. To top it off, she's a gorgeous bubbly person which amazes me when working with those in the building trade. If I had another place to renovate, Donna would be my first and only call.

Donna Guyler has helped us redesign many rooms in our home at Southport and also help renovate my parents new home in Mermaid Beach. We updated our children bedrooms, refreshed our living areas and spare room all with Donna's help. Her designs and ideas were funky, fresh and modern. We have had nothing but complements on all our changes. My parents house in Mermaid Beach was a large renovation of an older 70's style home, it now reflects a relaxed and beachy abode which my parents are just in love with. Donna did an amazing job of helping me revamp my house at Broadbeach Waters, taking a tired 1970's classic and bringing it into the modern world. I could not be happier with the level of service, care and attention she provided. She managed the trades men and got the job done in a tight 3 week turn around which was a really feat. Her style and colour choices always worked and there was nothing she could not do, even designed the walk in wardrobe to get everything I wanted. Lovely to work with Donna who always made me feel that I was her only client (when I know she had lots of other houses on the go), lots of attention and never too busy to help with something. Amazing service!

Donna is a true professional, a great designer, a listener, a conceptual genius. Donna has great visualization skills and will listen to you with the ideas you have, then she brings everything to life with her designs in a 3D format before things start, if you are like me and prefer to see everything before it happens you will love the way Donna works. 3D is not only brilliant for the client but for the builder to understand what the look is you are trying to achieve, especially if everything can not be done all at once. I have a 3 phase project on the go and I have gone back to Donna at every phase. I have and will recommend her to everyone I know that are planning to renovate and build new. Donna is a lady you can rely on to get the job done and done right!!

Donna Guyler designs has been amazing through our recent renovation project. The desgins are amazing and we could not be more pleased with our amazing new spaces.
