The primary focus of the design was ease of access throughout the majority of the living zones to accommodate the family’s physically disabled son, and maximise success of his ongoing therapy. A private disabled access bedroom suite, complete with an electronic hoisting system was an integral element of the overall design.

Tropical Balinese themes were specifically requested by the clients as the design inspiration, which influenced a material palette of natural stone, stained timber and rendered masonry. Timber decks and travertine floor finishes combine to link external and internal spaces seamlessly together, all within a private vista of garden courts.
