Floreat Renovations
An original Floreat home updated and extended to meet a young family’s needs.
Like many of the original homes in Floreat, the layout of the home didn’t meet the needs of the new family residing in it. With an old-fashioned sleepout, and a design that limited access to the backyard, the family wasn’t making the most of their space.
To gain more space, the family demolished the sleep-out and extended the home. They added two bedrooms for the children, a bathroom, living area and alfresco. They also took the opportunity to add retaining walls to a steep backyard, and gained a beautiful open outdoor living space connected to the home.
