our mermaid beach residence fronts onto the beach at hedges avenue. It was a building designed fully out of insitu concrete which was used as a 'seen' finished material in allot of the project. The external concrete was a mix of smooth off form and textured hand scrabbled concrete mixed with timber. The building as is the case with m,any of our projects designed to be private from the front road and public area of the beach while still being open to natural light and views. the house has upstairs landscaped courtyards that allow light into the middle of the building when the outside screens are shut down in the mid day heat and during inclement weather.
