Point Nepean Residence
The Residence at Point Napien, was built overlooking the Portsea pier on the Mornington Penisula. The building was set amongst coastal tea tree and its cladding of rough cut Travertine was designed to sit quietly in its coastal setting. The house was designed to accommodate a large family with its main living room situated on the first floor overlooking the sea. The house has operable motorized timber screens that allow access to the views while screening off the adjoining park and inclement weather. The building has a simple palette of stone and wood and does not feel precious or out of context in its environment
