... designer seamlessly incorporated the bottom of the black windows with the backsplash, recessed the windows into the drywall to extend the countertops into the window wells, added a low backsplash to line up at the same height as the bottom rails of the windows. This created one continuous black line around the room. Also seamless are the electrical outlets. Rather than losing the clean aesthetic by interrupting the walls with them... hid pop-up outlets in the countertops with black covers that match

Tall cabinets. Sarah likes to use tall countertop cabinets in kitchen corners because she thinks that countertop space rarely gets put to use. Here, the cabinet stores spices and oils near her prep station, as well as more commonly used snacks and foods.

A cutting board slides into its own slot to the left of the sink. A drying rack tucks away neatly to the right. Both include leather pulls. āI wanted a cutting board that was super convenient to the sink, and that was a perfect spot for it,ā Robertson says. āWeāve had other clients who liked having a drying rack, so we felt you could add a lot of utility there with those 3 inches.ā
