Be careful with olive green, even in light tones. Our current house was a very pale olive green inside, reminded me of the old hospital green. Very depressing in a generally light filled house. Immediately painted over it. Other greens, however, are great and feel very calming.

I love all these greens - the colour of nature. We have done our house in a mid olive green (similar to the top cupboards in No. 27), grey ironbark floors and white trim on the windows and doors and white plantation shutters. It is so fresh and calming. Our last house had pale mint green walls, a darker mint in the kitchen with very dark green vinyl on the floor in the kitchen and family room, combined with dark timber furniture. I loved it.
