A Kitchen for Serious Bakers

Traditional Kitchen, St Louis

The owners of this Sunset Hills, MO home are serious cooks who often do large-quantity baking while entertaining many people. It was time to have a beautiful kitchen tailored to their every need. The stoves in the center island are purposely lower to the ground than usual to accommodate a tiny lady, and the oft used mixer is on a pull-out cabinet shelf to avoid lifting heavy appliances. Plus, the clearance on all sides of the island are wider than usual so 3 or more cooks can work efficiently. Storage was most important, including shelf space for dozens of cookbooks that can be easily accessed. A 6-burner range top is a dream requirement. And extra-deep double sink (plus an extra quiet dishwasher) helps with clean up. Their new kitchen has brought cooking and socializing to a whole new level, and they delight in using it everyday.
