Ardmore Twin

Traditional Kitchen, Philadelphia

We opened up this small kitchen by removing the dividing wall between it and the breakfast room. However we did not want to cover up the original wood floor inlays, which limited our footprint. This triple bank of windows replaced two windows of different heights and positions. The cherry cabinets on the far wall were placed on legs to not hide the floor border, and were designed to match the dining room furniture. Because the peninsula cabinets are only 12.5" deep, we had to get creative with the double trash cabinet. We designed two side-by-side trash units (positioned horizontally) that tilt out.
