Bathroom Design Ideas with Vinyl Floors

After photo-Nicola Damm The bathroom/laundry was the room that needed the biggest changes, the shower wall was knocked down to open up the space and a shower cubicle was installed. No pre made vanity was going to fit in there as well as a washing machine so a vanity was designed to accomodate both the washing machine as well as the sink. The sink is higher than normal to accomodate the washing machine so a folding step is available for kiddies to use. The mirror cabinet has storage and adds to the depth of the whole room. The space works so well now and it actually feels spacious, clean and bright. Washing machine enclosed in the custom made vanity, creating effective space design.

Squeezing in a full height shower in the eaves of the roof was a real achievement. The client was keen to have a large walk-in shower. The shower has great height and the eaved area has been used to build a shower bench and a shelf for toiletries. The shower screen is bespoke from Matki. The Client brief was to renovate the bathroom, it had to be practical and have minimum ongoing maintenance; a Upvc Wall sheeting was selected and installed and the end result speaks for it's self.

This traditional Victorian bathroom was a little tired, it needed redecorating, however, the client was happy with the bath and sanitaryware, and wanted to keep the layout. It was previously painted in Farrow & Ball's 'Elephants Breath' with all woodwork in 'Bone', which the client picked over 10 years ago. They fancied a bit of a change and wanted a more dramatic look to go with the rest of the house and decided on Fornasetti's II Acquario wallpaper from Cole & Son's. The client is a huge fan off Fornasetti so it was an easy decision! We chose Myland's paint in 'Sinner', to compliment the wallpaper and really give the room a luxurious and mysterious feel. There is a feature floor underneath the bath with Vicotiran black and white tiles, and the rest of the floor is a subtle dark vinyl. The cast iron roll top bath has also been painted to blend in with the walls. The overall look is very dramatic, and works so well in a small room. We loved this project, and it shows that you can change a small amount of details in a room to give it a completely different style and atmosphere! Holly Christian

Two separate ensuite bathrooms were created within this grade II listed property. The main ensuite required an existing bedroom to be converted and knocked through to the main bedroom. The rooms were at different levels and a ste of steps required to access between the rooms. New electrics, complete new plumbing system was required. The bathroom is fitted with his and hers basins set on a reclaimed sideboard, wall mounted traditional taps and brassware supplied. walk in shower and free standing bath. Within the bedoom new bespoke wardrobes and storage was fabricated and finished on site. The doorway between the bedroom and bathroom was dressed with solid oak beams and timbers to match the existing and original structure. A second ensuite was created on another floor to provide a guest room.
