The weight and balance in the great room/kitchen is an enormous island built from hickory and stained ‘american walnut’. The cabinet doors are a flat panel style with an ogee outside profile and inset moulding on the inside. ‘Oil rubbed bronze’ hardware adorns the cabinets, as in the rest of the kitchen. Finishing off the kitchen, like icing on a cake, is a 3cm Silestone countertop in ‘Mountain Mist’.
