Modern contemporary extension and home office to existing 100 year old federation style home. The brief was to create a modern and artful sequence of internal and external spaces to showcase our work, whilst preserving the features of the original home. This 6.4 star energy rated extension is built using a mixture of double brick, timber framing, reverse brick veneer. It incorporates solar passive design with the latest construction materials and finishes including polished concrete slabs to absorb winter heat, energy efficient glazing, cross ventilation using aneeta windows & bi-fold doors, Solar panels, automated louvered wall blinds, window awning boxes to provide shade in summer, automated louvered alfresco area to enjoy all year round, various modern claddings, grey water system with water efficient gardens and many other features.
