Cosy Library with Woodburner
Craftsman Home Office, Gloucestershire
Once an Inn, this Cotswolds House bursts with character and history. Our client chose one of the front rooms of the house to be turned into a library for his fascinating extensive collection of books.
The space very clearly dictated where it wanted to go and not competing with the natural rustic charm of the flagstones and exposed beams was key. With Chipping Campden once being the centre for the Arts & Crafts movement, we drew inspiration from the simplicity of style, use of local sourced materials and an appreciation for true craftmanship.
The library was made in house by O & Co in solid Oak with dimmable hidden lighting, cockbeaded detail to shelving and understated solid Walnut pegging on the front facia uprights.
