This is the condition the client found their ensuite in, with extensive water damage from previous drypack shower base, no waterproofing on the walls, and mold throughout. This required complete substrate replacement. We installed a Schluter Kerdi shower base on a dropped sublfloor to allow for a barrier free entry. The shower was enlarged into the adjacent linen closet and full length recessed niche was created. The entire floor, walls and ceiling were waterproofed with Kerdi membrane, Ditra, and Kerdiboard. The project was finished with large format 24x24 porcelain tile and a glass mosaic accent.
