BBP have completed a new-build, single family one-off house for an end user client. It is located in Winchmore Hill, North London within the Borough of Enfield. Planning permission was granted in May 2019. Following a design and financial feasibility study the decision was taken to demolish the existing house on the site and to design a new property. In response to the clients brief the house has been designed in an ‘Arts and Crafts’ style, with its traditional hipped roof and its timber/rendered, finished gables to the front and rear elevations. Also the use of traditional materials including stone detailing to the openings and steel, small paned windows accentuates it’s strong, period aesthetic. The house provide over 6500sq.ft. of internal space over three floors, with a basement containing a gym and wine cellar, 5 bedrooms and an integral garage. BBP were lead consultants from inception through to completion of the project. The contractors were Sullivan Brothers Construction.
