Gary + Gayle: Cincinnati, Ohio

Shabby-Chic Style Entry, Cincinnati

As an attractive solution to the catch-all area of the home, the back entry, Gayle employs an antique wooden tray from the flea market. Used to corral everything from spare change to cell phones, the tray sits atop a cherished family relic. "It is an old cabinet from my grandmother', explains Gayle. "It has moved with me and been repainted a couple different times, when it's found a new resting spot." A floral sconce from Arhaus contains hydrangeas that Gayle brings in from the garden. Found throughout the home, the blooms inject each space with a dose of soft color and texture, while upholding a notion of ambiguity between indoors and out. Adrienne DeRosa Photography © 2013 Houzz
