This rooftop deck was designed and installed for HGTV's Kitchen Crashers in 2013. The ipe deck panels and the ceramic tile are on a floating pedestal system. The large cedar planter box is filled with sedums, coneflowers, and alliums. The kicthen has a cedar bar, an outdoor refrigerator, a DCS stainless steel sink, and DCS stainless steel grill. The both have sleek covers for a clean look when they are not being used. The Tucci umbrella allows for shade to be moved where it is needed. The hot tub was an existing feature that we had to design around. It was softened with a boxwood planter and made more functional with an ipe step sitting on top of the tile.
