Historic Bathroom | Che Bella Interiors

Traditional Bathroom, Minneapolis

Che Bella Interiors turned a small, dated, dilapidated bathroom into a restful master bath, while blending with the decor of an early 1900s Prairie-style home. We removed two walls and a hall closet in order to add space to the existing narrow bathroom. The remodeled bath featured two doorways, connecting it to the bedroom and sitting room - creating a seamless private suite. We used period style materials: exposed hinges, basket-weave tile, subway tile etc. And we added updated accents to add interest and make a timeless design. We repeated the homes architectural details such as crown molding and light-painted woodwork. Also creating a vanity after the homes built-in buffet in the dining room. The clients requested an over-sized shower with two showerheads and a heated floor, along with tons of cabinetry storage. There is also home automation integrated controlling their music, heat and light sources from a wall-mounted touch pad. We were published!
