This was an attempt to update the existing 1980's kitchen to accommodate a large island where all members of the family could gather around. The kitchen opens to the renovated living room. A wood railing between the two spaces was removed to improve the flow from kitchen to the living room. The ceiling was dropped to add new pot lights. The family enjoys the renovated space. RKanetkar
