This project was a complete renovation of an abandoned cabin that was built in 1783. It was important to us to save the logs and expose them throughout the interior; this meant a careful introduction of new electrical and plumbing systems into the house. The existing roof was removed and raised to convert the low and dark half story into a light filled open full story.
