This lakeside cottage needed a kitchen upgrade. The space was small, dark and crowded. A wall was removed to allow flow from kitchen to dining to living room to Lake Champlain views. Beadboard cabinetry was fabricated by Hildebrand Cabinets and Vermont soapstone countertops were installed. These countertops take a little more maintenance than some, but look how beautiful they are. Once the oil is rubbed on the stone goes from light gray to nearly black.
