PrevNext1234Kitchen Remodeled to Reflect Owner’s Style and Culture When a Turkish-American family purchased this Manhattan Beach house twenty years ago, they never felt at home in its contemporary kitchen. Their remodel goal was to create a harmonious environment that reflected their Turkish culture, personal taste and lifestyle needs. It had to be an elegant yet comfortable space conducive to entertaining both family and friends. The kitchen was transformed by removing a wall, updating the cabinets, designing a new island and changing the window coverings, light fixtures, surface materials and appliances. The hardwood floors were darkened and the wall colors refreshed. The adjacent breakfast room was refurbished to include a large custom banquette with storage, new furniture and lighting.
