Menu Stackable Glass

Contemporary Dining Room, Melbourne

Stackable Glass by Norm is likely to be your new every-day/fine-day/fancy-dinner-day glass. Lovely in it’s aesthetics, clever in style and a nice companion by all tables. The mouth-blown glasses are all unique in their own way and available in three different sizes: 18cl, 27cl and 33cl – well suited in sizes for water, juice, wine or beer. While designing the glasses Norm Architects challenged some typical prejudices about practical design. Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen: “The idea of stackable glasses isn’t a new thing as such, but the new thoughts behind this design is our wish to create something that has a significant practical feature – but does not look practical at all”. Kasper Rønn: ”Practical and useful design is sometimes just destined to have boring looks, but we wanted to challenge that. It doesn’t have to look dull”. Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen: “Because of their thin and bubbly shapes, the Stackable Glasses are really nice to hold and to drink of – something that makes this a classic Norm design. It has to have a function and it must work. Otherwise the design itself is meaningless”.
